RIVER TAXI

Two vessels are initially commissioned for the designated route along the Cagayan River and around Macajalar Bay Area. The Vessel are designed and constructed by St. Christopher Boat Builders and Repairs Company. This will be equipped with communications, life vest for all passengers on board and tools and equipment as mandated by law.

Floating Pontoons

Pontoons with corresponding ramps and handrails are installed in the identified berthing areas/locations.

Bouy

Bouys or markers are position on strategic section/portion of the river to indicate the presence of obstructions such as embedded steel trusses, sandbar, stones and other form of debris.

Information and directional signs are installed in strategic places leading to the River Taxi Terminals.

Security Arrangements

Security of river taxi terminals/pontoon/ramps are being done in coordination with Barangay Captains/Officials and Barangay Tanod.
